Gavin Escobar, former Dallas Cowboys player, killed in a climbing accident | Sports

LOS ANGELES — A former Dallas Cowboys tight end was one of two hikers killed while climbing in Riverside County, Calif., authorities said Thursday.

Gavin Escobar, 31, and Chelsea Walsh, 33, both of Huntington Beach, died Wednesday afternoon at Tahquitz Rock near Idyllwild, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced.
