The duo were joined by hundreds of Kyabazinga subjects, politicians, MPs from Busoga, local and international tourists to climb the hill to climb the hill.

Kadaga arrived at the scene around 11:00 a.m. and was greeted by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Busoga, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, and the Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Busoga, Hellen Namutamba.

Later, the Kyabazinga also arrived around noon and were greeted by Dr Muvawala and Buyende District MP Nakato Mary.

He was led to the steps built at the rock of Kagulu which he launched by cutting a ribbon and started climbing the rock.

The Kyabazinga was followed by Kadaga from behind and climbed the hill. They arrived at the top at different times, signed on a banner and each took photos at the top.

After reaching the summit, the Kyabazinga embarked downhill from the rock and around Kadaga which it found climbing and the two greeted each other amid cheers from locals climbing with them.

During speeches at the foot of Kagulu Rock, Miss Tourism Busoga was crowned and in her speech Kadaga urged the Basoga to promote community tourism, rediscover their cultural heritage and values ​​of honesty, hard work and integrity. unity.

Kadaga appreciated President Yoweri Museveni for keeping his promise to ensure that steps were built at Kagulu rock to allow tourists to easily climb the rock.

She revealed that they plan to install a cable car to take tourists to the top of the hill and they also plan to build a restaurant at the top where tourists will refresh themselves with soft drinks and snacks.

In his remarks, the Kyabazinga of Busoga His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV hailed President Yoweri Museveni for his support for the development of tourism in Busoga.

He urged his subjects to continue promoting culture, heritage and activities that promote tourism like the Miss Tourism Busoga beauty pageant, among others.

Later, he cut a cake and served it to his subjects.

The monarch also presented certificates of appreciation to various sponsors who were involved in sponsoring the Kagulu Rock Climbing Challenge.
